The Virginia Zoilus, alias Walter Dymocke:
A full and compleat answer to all his elaborate criticisms
on the Virginia Pindar, auspiciously begun March 1, . . . [3
lines, response to the critics above]
  Critics on verse, as squibs on triumphs wait,
  Proclaim the glory, and augment the state;
  Hot, envious, noisy, proud, the scribling fry
  Burn, hiss and bounce, waste paper, stink and die.
  Rail on, my friend! What more my verse can crown
  Than H--'s smile, and your obliging frown?
April 30, 1752.
